It is too difficult to show the entire panoramic of Edinburgh from atop the Sir Walter Scott Monument, after all, it has a 9 X 88 aspect ratio. In my best attempt to do this, I broke the scene up into six separate sections, this being the last one, showing Edinburgh Castle. I do have the entire panoramic available at http://glsmyth.com/Projects/Scotland/Edinburgh/Edinburgh.htm.
The image was made by shooting 44 sets of 3 images, where each set contained an underexposed, overexposed, and properly exposed capture. Each set was put together using Photomatix, which allowed me the choices that resulted in what you see. Someone else could have made completely different choices with the software and created a much different image.

Edinburgh
I’ve just discovered your fabulous pictures from the Scott Monument. I’ve never seen this done before. I was wondering if you would allow me to link to your blog from my site (which is all about Edinburgh)
Thank you
