Harlech is a small town in Wales. I spent little time there, but arriving at the castle before any other visitors arrived, I had the ability to wander about, almost feeling soldiers brushing against me hundreds of years before. This little store was closed at the time I was there, but represented the feeling of the town. I visited Harlech in 1995 and wonder if this dairy store still exists.
Update
I received the following correspondence, “I live in Harlech, the Dairy is now closed I’m afraid to say, it closed in about 2006-7. John the Milk as he was known had to retire due to Ill health but since retiring, he is a lot better and loves his Beach fishing.”
Going back literally thousands of years, this is very probably the grave site of an important figure of the time. Wales offers many glimpses into the distant past with graves such as this and standing stones.
As an American, I am completely awed by such things, as our recorded history only goes back several hundred years. To see something that was created thousands of years in the past and still existing much as it had probably been created is absolutely awesome.
