A couple of years ago I had the distinct pleasure to travel to San Antonio on business, which I used to advantage by arriving several days early and enjoying the area. My primary intention was to take pictures of the missions, with the Alamo being the most well known, and least interesting of the group.
After arriving at my hotel prepared to work, I found that the hotel was on the San Antonio Riverwalk. This is a narrow canal several miles long that snakes through a portion of the city. During the day it is rather peaceful, but in the evening the cafes on both sides open and the lights come on. This is a stunningly beautiful area, and walking along the river is quite peaceful. More of these images can be seen on my website at GLSmyth.com.
