Stream, Brecon Beacons

One of the most wonderful walks I have taken was in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. This is a beautiful set of hills where one can see miles of unspoiled land all around. I have done quite a bit of hiking in the Appalachians and love the trees and thick foliage. This is the same, just without the trees and foliage. <g>

I came across this particular area as I descended the hills. There was a calming stream flowing within a sylvan area and my first thought was to capture the image using infrared film. I have printed this image various ways because it is so rich with interpretive possibilities. This particular version was the one I sent out with my postcards.
