I got some good news this past weekend that I thought I’d pass along. On November 7 I’ll have the reception for a show at Montpelier Arts Center, which will run through January 2. I’ve been in shows before, but this will be the first one centered on my own work. The theme is going to be “The Extras,” which is the project I have been working on for a while. I put together a small website that features many of the images at GeorgeSmyth.com, which explains what I am trying to accomplish. If it’s okay with you I’d like to give your email address to Montpelier Arts Center so that they can send you a reminder.
To make matters even better, Slayton House contacted me to let me know that I have been selected for a show in their 2011-2012 season. The date is currently undetermined, but they want me to prepare information about the Bromoil process.
