Ce n’est pas un mur de briques

This is not a brick wall

I love looking at images and the ones that most interest me are those that make me think.  This is why my favorite painter is René Magritte, whose “La trahison des images” forces one to consider what they are seeing in a different way.

The print I am offering is an homage to that great painter.  Surely enough, this is not a brick wall, so its function and purpose come into question.  It’s true nature can only be determined upon close inspection, which then offers numerous additional questions.  I will offer an alternative perspective of this scene in a subsequent posting.
